1/26/22 - This is a very nice example of a 1939 K98 rifle with a rare "BSW" factory code. This indicates the rifle was manufactured by the Berlin-Suhler Waffen-Und Fahrzeugwerke company. This company was given the wartime code of "BSW" and this model was only manufactured from 1937-39 at which time production was transferred to the "bcd" factory. This particular is mismatched. Mismatched parts include the bolt, barrel bands, and recoil lug. It appears that someone tried to re-number the bolt to match the receiver but made a mistake. Overall, the gun is in very nice condition. There is wear around the muzzle and high edges of the barrel bands. Minor thinning on the floor plate/trigger group. There are tiny dots of oxidation covering most of the metal parts. The stock is in excellent condition but was likely sanded. There are no visible markings. The bore is mint.
