1/19/22 - This is a nice example of an Arisaka Type 38 rifle issued to the Japanese military during WW2. The gun is almost entirely mismatched but does have a completely intact Imperial mum stamp on the receiver. Overall, it is in very nice condition. There is not much actual finish loss. There is just some minor wear along the high edges and around the muzzle. There are tiny dots of freckling on the receiver and dark brown patina under the finish of most of the parts - probably most noticeable on the floor plate and trigger group. A few tiny white dots of what looks like paint on the barrel. There are dings, dents, and scratches on the stock throughout. There are some more noticeable gouges on the butt stock. The bore has decent rifling, but there are areas of noticeable pitting.
