11/23/21 - This is a nice example of a Model 1911A1 pistol issued to the US military in 1944. The frame was made by Remington Rand. It is "United States Property" marked, has the proper "FJA" inspector initials, and has the correct cross-canon military cartouche on the left side of the frame. The slide and barrel were both made by Colt and are period-correct. The gun has retained roughly 75% of its parkerized finish. Most of the finish loss is on the grip straps, but there is spotty wear on the slide, concentrated around the muzzle and around the high edges. Some very light spotty oxidation in the same areas. The gun comes with period-correct plastic grips and one proper magazine. Excellent bore with very strong rifling.
