11/23/21 - This is a very nice example of a Mauser HSC sold in the commercial market in 1944. it is all matching, has no military proofs, and has the proper "Eagle N" commercial proofs on the right side of the slide and frame. It comes as a rig with a generic un-marked tan leather holster and one period-correct magazine. There is a small tear on the left side of the holster, and most of the stitching on the belt loop is missing. The gun has retained about 92-93% of its finish. There are areas of minor thinning on the front strap, underside of the frame, and left side of the slide. There is also minor muzzle wear and a light streak of wear on the round edge of the left side of the slide. Spotty oxidation throughout, most noticeable on the front grip strap, underside of the frame, and the left side of the slide. Brown patina on both grip straps. Comes with excellent wood grips. The bore has strong rifling with minor freckling in the grooves.
