11/23/21 - This is a very nice example of a Remington Rand Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1944. It is "United States Property" marked, has the proper military cross-canon cartouche, and has the correct "FJA" inspector initials. It also has a proper High Standard barrel. It has retained about 93% of its original parkerized finish. Most of the finish loss is on the front strap, but there is also some thinning on the back strap and minor wear on the high edges of the slide, around the muzzle, and around the front edge of the frame. There are small spots of wear along the top of the slide. Comes with excellent plastic grips and a period-correct "L"-marked magazine. The bore has good rifling with minor freckling throughout.
