9/27/21 - This is a nice example of a rare Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1944. It is all matching and has the proper "Waffen 135" military acceptance proofs. This one has a rare FN-made slide. There is a French star on the right side next to a very faint waffen proof, indicating that this gun was likely captured and exported by the French. There is an import mark on the right side of the frame. It has retained about 92% of its finish. There are areas of minor wear and pin-pricking on the high edges of the slide and around the muzzle. An area of discoloration around the import mark. Brown patina on the front strap. Comes with nice black bakelite grips (look like they've been cut down) and a period-correct Mauser magazine. De-cocker is functional.
