8/20/21 - This is a nice example of a rare CZ 46, a P.38 put-together from leftover Nazi parts and reworked by the Czechs in 1946. This one is all matching, has the proper Czech lion proofs, and a proper Czech "E" proof on the left side of the frame. The slide was made by Mauser in 1944 and has "Waffen 135" Nazi proofs. The barrel has a "Waffen 76" proof, indicating it was made by FNH. The frame has an "Eagle 88" proof, indicating it was made by Spreewerk. Comes with excellent grips and a WW2-era waffen-proofed Mauser magazine. It has retained about 85% of its finish. There is spotty wear on both sides of the slide, on the chamber, the barrel, and underside of trigger guard. Minor thinning and brown patina on the front strap. There is a peened marking on the left side of the trigger guard. The bore is shiny with strong rifling and very minor frosting here and there. De-cocker is functional.
