7/27/21 - This is an excellent example of a rare commercial Mauser banner Luger sold in the commercial market in 1942. It is all matching and has the proper Mauser banner logo on the toggle. No military proofs. The small parts are properly straw-colored. This one also comes with a matching magazine, which is a little puzzling. This gun is not in the serial range for a police-issued gun, but the numbering on the mag bottom looks correct. It's possible the gun was initially sold in the commercial market and later diverted to the police. In any case, the gun has retained about 97% of its bluing. There are areas of minor wear and slightly discoloration on the side plate, on some of the high edges, around the muzzle, on the barrel, and at the very base of the frame. Very minor pin-pricking on the side plate. Comes with excellent black bakelite grips. Mint bore.
