8/3/21 - This is a nice example of a rare Astra Model 400 delivered to the Nazi military in 1941. In 1941, the Nazis ordered only 6,000 of these guns. This one is all matching, is in the correct serial range, and has the proper Spanish proofs. It does not have waffen proofs, which is correct. It has retained roughly 90% of its finish. While there is not much actual finish loss, there are areas of very heavy pitting throughout, most noticeable on the left side of the gun, at the front of the frame, and around the tang. Spotty wear and oxidation on the straps. Comes with nice wood grips and a proper magazine. Very nice bore with good rifling.
