7/14/20 - This is a 1918 manufactured Springfield model 1903. Features a double heat-treated receiver and a vintage Lyman 5A (successor to the Winchester A 5) scope with a power booster installed for increased magnification. The scope, receiver, and barrel have been refinished to a dark shiny bluing that remains excellent. The reticle is an aperture sight (open circle on twisted wire post) for greater accuracy. The bore has some light patina / signs of residue within the grooves, but very strong and deep rifling. The stock is excellent and CMP stamped. Known as a C-Style stock from the CMP. No issues with the wood or functionality.
