11/20/23 - This is an original WW2 production SA Dagger with an original brown painted scabbard. The dagger blade is in great overall condition with a shiny nickel finish throughout. There's some mild evidence of cross graining on the blade. The blade has surface rub wear and light scratches throughout from the scabbard and from general use and aging. There's a few small nicks and dings along the edge from misuse, and some dark speckling patina in small areas throughout. The inscription is crisp and the reverse is RZM maker code stamped by E.u.F. Horster. The cross guards are nickel plated zinc, which is a later variation. There's speckling patina and high edge wear throughout the cross guards. The wood handle has a small hairline fracture near the SA emblem in the handle. There are no other notable flaws and the handle is in great overall condition. The scabbard has small areas of paint loss but no major issues and fits nicely.
