9/22/22 - This is an original C96 leather holster. Based on the black dyed leather, we believe this is a WW2 production or at least WW2 modified example. The leather is soft and pliable with typical signs of previous use but no excessive wear or damage. The front magazine / ammo pouches have some weak areas and scuffing, and similar wear is found near the toe of the holster. The stitching is all tight and without issue. No maker markings or stamps.
