12/12/23 - This is a nice example of a Remington Rolling Block rifle with a 26" octagonal barrel, chambered in .38 CF and manufactured in the late 1800s. The metal on the rifle is in good condition considering its age, but it has only retained about a quarter of its original bluing. However, there are no signs of pitting or rust on the exterior. The receiver and barrel are dark with a nice patina. The Barrel is stamped “38 CTGE” on the underside. The Wood is clean, with no major damage. The bore is bright, but there are spots of pitting. Antique, so no licensing required.
