9/14/18 - This is an original 1915 dated DWM Luger that was later reworked for police use during WW2. The police added the sear safety, and a matching numbered magazine that is still with the gun today. The magazine is wood based and there's a crack on the lower portion - as shown in photos. The magazine appears to be the spare, police numbered magazine. The wood grips are also matching, numbered "19" in small font on each panel. The left panel has a few minor chips near the side plate and safety lever. The pistol has patina throughout, all honest wear. The overall finish is in about 80-85%. There's light pitting on the barrel, thinning & pin pricking on the frame, as well as typical browning and finish loss on the straps. The pistol is all matching except for the hold-open internal part. This was probably a police / field replacement as it looks period correct and is properly numbered. The bore is very nice with great rifling and minimal wear, overall an 8.5 out of 10 on the bore. Guaranteed original and fully functional.
