8/27/20 - This is an original 1943 dated K98 bayonet with a matching numbered scabbard. The blade and the scabbard are both stamped "3151 d". The reverse of the blade is maker stamped "asw" with a '43 date stamp. The wood handle is in great condition, but the metal has patina throughout. The blade doesn't show signs of sharpening and has thinning throughout the finish. The scabbard has a dent in the front and is worn throughout with none of the finish remaining. The leather frog has aging and wear throughout and no maker markings or stamps.
