7/8/20 - This is an original silver grade infantry assault badge from WW2. These were awarded for participation in at least 3 ground assaults or close quarters combat on three separate days of a combat position. The badge has some patina throughout, but is in good overall condition. The original clasp functions well. Maker stamped on the back by Freidrich Orth.
