6/2/23 - This is an original WW1 era production Mauser C96 wood stock and holster. The stock features a German Imperial Military proof stamp on the wood, on the backside just below the hinge. The metal hinge and male connecting end piece both show dark brown surface patina and natural aging wear throughout. The metal toe or "male end" of the stock has a serial number "951". The wood is in great condition with some normal surface wear and signs of aging throughout. The lid has a few small chips in the wood, and one hairline crack, as shown.
