5/17/21 - This is an original WW1 German Imperial Officer's Lion Head sword. The sword comes with an original scabbard, and features the iconic Lion's head pommel as shown. The handle is in excellent condition with some mild patina. The blade is excellent, with only a few small spots of patina and mild surface oxidation, but is generally bright and shiny. No maker markings or stamps except for "98" on the reverse of the blade. Likely a unit designation number. The scabbard has a few small areas of finish loss but no dents or major issues.
