5/5/22 - This is a Winchester Model 1873 lever action rifle manufactured in 1890. The gun is fully functional and in fair condition overall. There is noticeable heavy brown patina and spotty oxidation throughout. An area of discoloration on the barrel just behind the rear sight. There are some vice grip marks here and there along the barrel and a series of tiny dings on the brass floor plate. The magazine tube insert looks like it was replaced. The stock is minty but appears to have been sanded. The bore is poor - worn rifling with heavy pitting throughout.
