6/22/23 - This is an original, early WW2 production German Army M35 helmet. The helmet features two decals on the exterior shell. Both decals are in great condition with 90+% intact. The Eagle has slightly more wear than the shield logo, as shown in photos. The dark olive-green shell retains most of the original paint, but not without a significant amount of "honest wear" or surface patina throughout the shell exterior. There are no dents or major issues however, and the natural patina is typical for these "battle-worn" helmets. The interior shell is maker and size stamped "NS 62" by the left ear. The back visor is lot numbered E.90. The leather chinstrap is original, completely intact and in very good condition with a 1937 date and maker stamp still faintly visible on one end. There is a small tear in the leather on one of the fastening holes, as shown in photos. The liner has surface wear throughout but is in great condition. The metal liner band shows surface patina and mild verdigris on one of the interior rivets. There's no evidence of the liner or liner band having ever been replaced. An overall great condition example with honest use wear and aging throughout without any excessive damage.
