3/20/23 - This is a nice example of a Colt Model 1849 Pocket Revolver, manufactured in 1863 and chambered in .31 caliber. It is all matching and has the proper stagecoach scene on the cylinder, still mostly visible. The gun has lost most of its original finish with obvious spotty brown patina throughout. Only some of the original case-hardening is still visible on the frame. Very nice wood grips with a light scratch on the left side. Shiny bore with strong rifling and just some light freckling here and there.
