2/7/19 - This is an original WW1 era (1916 dated) Navy Luger holster, complete with an original navy cleaning rod, shoulder board, should straps, and magazine pouch with two original & correct magazines. It's extremely rare to find a complete set like this. The shoulder stock has two imperial navy proof stamps - one is crown/M, and the other anchor/M. There's also a navy Nordsee property stamp on the back of the wood "N1592". The stock is also serial numbered 4216 on the metal end. The holster is original and in great condition overall with a legible interior maker stamp and 1916 date. The stitching is mostly original, but the top of the cleaning rod pouch (the closure flap) has replacement stitching. This is black stitching as opposed to the straw stitching elsewhere. The holster also has been modified to fit the shoulder straps - it once had standard belt loops, but these were removed and a single loop for the stock straps was added. This appears period correct. The cleaning rod has a navy anchor/M stamp on the side of the wood lug. The magazine pouch is dated 1916 on the interior flap. Both magazines are serial numbered and correct, but they don't match. Each has concentric navy circles on the base, but only one has a crown/M navy proof stamp. See photos!
