1/26/22 - This is a very nice example of a Colt Model 1860 Army revolver, chambered in .44 Caliber and manufactured in 1863. The gun is all matching and has the iconic Colt Naval engagement scene on the cylinder. There is very little actual finish loss, as we believe the gun has been mostly refinished. There is minor wear around the muzzle and on the high edges of the cylinder. Light roll mark as well. There areas of tiny pits here and there that have been blued-over, most noticeable on the right side the barrel. The scene on the cylinder is faint for the most part. The back strap has been blued. The brass frame has tiny spots of discoloration throughout from age. The cylinder is tight. The barrel wedge is missing the tiny spring, but it does stay in place. The bore has good rifling, but there is spotty oxidation throughout.
