1/24/23 - This is an original WW2 Luftwaffe Gravity Knife. The knife blade has been buffed and polished, leaving light surface scratching throughout each side, and leaving no visible maker marking. The takedown release lever also appears to have the serial numbers intentionally removed. There is still an internal number 360 on the interior base, as shown in photos. The blade shows some mild edge wear and a few nicks along the edge from use. The blade releases and retracts, but sometimes gets stuck in the process and the overall action is not very smooth (requires some shaking and jostling to move positions). The pick piece unfolds and locks without issue, but is missing the Luftwaffe proof stamp, which we guess was likely removed as well. The lanyard loop and base of the pick piece show traces of blued finish and some dark patina. The rest of the metal parts are all steel colored metal, as shown. The wood grip has a crack near the lanyard loop on the base and a few mild bruises and dents, but no major issues.
