1/23/23 - This is an original 1st model Luftwaffe dagger. The dagger is in good overall condition and comes with an original scabbard with attached chain hanger. The scabbard is missing the metal tip on the base, and a replacement piece is included (as shown this piece is not attached but fits nicely, and includes two original screws). The replacement parts were obtained from Tom Johnson, an expert collector so we're confident of the authenticity and fit. The dagger blade has some splotchy discoloration and rub wear / surface scratching. The edges show some mild signs of sharpening and use wear, there are various small nicks and dents in the edge. The blade is maker stamped on one side as shown. The original leather stopper is in great shape and still attached. The grip has some mild surface wear but is in great overall condition. The crossguard and pommel both are excellent and retain the gold colored swastikas as shown. The chain hanger has natural aging and patina but no major issues. Great overall condition.
